In spite of the careful planning, supplies and well-oiled blades; there is an uncertainty in the air. It was a fool’s presumption to believe a ragtag crew of glory seekers could honestly confront the fearsome gates of Hell and then navigate the river Styx beyond…”

The long anticipated follow up to Dispel’s 1st album “LORE”, the “Past the Gates” EP continues on with a musical adventure into Dante’s Literary Masterpiece, ‘The Divine Comedy’, or most commonly known as ‘Dante’s Inferno.’
Here we offer a taste of raw story telling through song. During the creation of their new album, Dispel explored their musicianship and songwriting, these following songs took on a life of their own; forming a prequel, or perhaps a warning… “Abandoned All hope ye who enter here.”
